Copeland, Beverly Ayler  - Beverly Copeland, age 55, of Archie, Mo., died July 31, 2008, at her home near Archie. Funeral services 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 4, Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, Mo. (816) 862-6345. Interment Garden City Cemetery. Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at the chapel. Memorials Heartland Hospice.

Beverly Faye Copeland, March 11, 1953 - July 31, 2008. Beverly Faye Copeland, 55, Archie, died July 31, 2008, at her home near Archie. She was born March 11, 1953, in Holden, the daughter of Delmar Cecil Ayler and Velma Lucille Smith. Mrs. Copeland was employed as a waitress for the Old Cedar Inn and Seven Stop in Garden City, Dinner Bell and Wagon Wheel in Harrisonville, and for Ryan’s in Raymore. Later, she was employed as an apartment manager for Hillside and Brookstone Apartments in Independence. She enjoyed her family, grandchildren, talking on the phone, her dogs and riding around in her car. She had lived in Holden, Garden City, and Independence before moving to Archie in 2003. Preceding her in death were her infant son, Michael; and her twin infant brothers, Gary and Larry. Surviving are her son, Brian Ayler and wife, Bonnie, Archie; her mother, Lucille Sexson, her father and step-mother, Delmar Ayler and wife, Roseanna and two brothers, Chester Ayler and Ronnie Ayler, all of Harrisonville; four sisters, Debbie Ayler and Janet Henderson, both of Independence, Carol Bandy, Creighton, and Cheryl Cowan, Harrisonville; four grandchildren, Britney, Ethan, Hunter and Lexis; her maternal grandmother, Erma Smith, Harrisonville; other relatives and many friends. Services were Aug. 4 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, with the Rev. John Kukovich officiating. Music was provided by Mim Jackson, soloist. Honorary casket bearers were Tyler Ayler, Bud Bowman, Jason Carver, Jerry McCulloh, Charlie Moretine and Phillip Carey Moore. Casket bearers were Luke Ayler, Don Bandy, Bill Copeland, David Cowan, Jimmy Cowan, Vernon Hammond, Travis Moore and David Warren. Burial was in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City.
