Mavel Arney (July 6, 1910 - April 15, 2008) - Graveside services for Mavel Arney will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 21, 2008 at Virginia Cemetery in Virginia, Missouri with Gary Schowengerdt officiating. Visitation, prior to services from 10-11 a.m. at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Mavel Arney, age 97 of Butler, Missouri died Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada, Missouri. She was born August 6, 1910 to Jerry and Hettie McGuire McQuinn in Morgan County, Kentucky. Mavel is survived by her son, Roy Hockett and wife Mary Jo of Des Moines, Iowa; two grandchildren, Joseph Hockett and wife Allison and Holly Hockett; and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and two brothers, Herschel and Ruschel.
