Irene "Nine" Alkire, 81, Butler, MO, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 15, at Underwood-Steinbeck Funeral Home, Butler; burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include her sister, Betty Wood, St. George, UT; nieces and nephews, Barbara Herrell and husband, Cameron, Ann Ratje and husband, George, all of Butler, David Alkire and wife Sherry, Adrian, MO, Willis Alkire and Wanda Wasson, both of Ft. Smith, AR, Roger Seeley and wife, Betty, Asbury, MO, Craig Wood, San Diego, CA, Mike Magers, Pat Magers, and Susan Magers, all of Whittier, CA, and Donald Magers, Torrance, CA; sisters-in-law, Loretta Magers, Apple Valley, CA, Virginia Smith, Lucerne Valley, CA, and Marian Magers and Lucille Magers Wilson, both of Whittier; great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
